Event Details

Thank you for your interest in the 2025 QAT Florence Amateur Championship hosted by Be Good Golf.

We are very excited to bring you this golf tournament again in 2025. We will again be utilizing live scoring. We will be able to score players more quickly and keep you up to date on the leaderboard.

Players will be able to earn WAGR points towards the ranking for playing and finishing in this year's tournament.

Format

The 54 hole tournament will be played June 20-22, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The field will be limited to the first 126 paid players. We anticipate all spots to be filled. Player registrations can only be guaranteed once payment has been accepted. The final round will be flighted in groups of 16 and the top 6 places in each flight will receive prizes. Overall Male and Female champion will receive QAT Florence Amateur Trophy and a $750 gift card. Caddies are not allowed. The event uses carts and players will be paired in a cart but walking is allowed. No single riders unless the pairing is a threesome. We will have a max score of a 9 for every hole.

Men 54 and younger will play the blue tees, men 55-64 will play white tees, men 65 and older will play black tees.

Women will play the red tees.

Starting Times
Daily tournament starting times will be posted online at florenceamateur.com, on the QAT Florence Amateur Facebook page, sent in an email and in the Traces Pro Shop. First Round Tee Times will be ready on Wednesday June 18. Friday, Saturday and Sunday starting tee times will begin at 7:30am all three days.

Pace of Play
The Florence Amateur Championship Pace of Play Policy is in effect and will be strictly enforced during the event. We will follow the USGA pace of play policy. (Players should play at a prompt pace throughout the round. Players are both allowed and encouraged to play “ready golf” in a safe and responsible way (Rule 6.4b) and should make a stroke in no more than 40 seconds (Rule 5.6b).)

College Game Day 1st Round
The Florence Amateur Committee has deemed the 1st round as College Game Day! We request that all players wear their college colors. Support your school and show-off your college pride!

Registration

Registration is officially open starting March 1. All you need to do is add the product of your choosing from below to the shopping cart and check out.

We do not need any other information. If you are choosing to play in the championship flight, you will need to add the men's or women's championship product. If you are choosing to play in the flighted men's or women's division, just add that product to the cart. After completing the purchase, you are good to go.

Tie Breakers for Flights & Flight Positions

A tie for any of the overall 1st places of flights on Sunday will have a one hole playoff on Meadows #1 and will continue on the same hole until a winner is determined. Any players tied for flight positions 2-6 will be determined by the most recent 9 hole score. If there is still a tie, the last 6 hole totals are compared, then the last 3 then the last hole until a winner can be determined.

If still tied, we will use the number of birdies made.

Event History

The tournament is entering its 7th year. We have grown from 32 players the first year, 64 in the second, and now over 100 players. Entry is open to all age groups and genders. We have a Men's and Women's division. The tournament is flighted for the final round into groups of 16 players.

Event Highlights

The QAT Florence Amateur Championship has seen some great scores. The 2020 Men's Champion, Mitchell Vance, shot a tournament one day record of -10 in the final round.

The 2022 QAT Champion was Jamie Stanley. Jamie won with an impressive 8 shot victory and a 3 day total of -18. This was Jamie's 3rd QAT Florence Amateur victory.

To sign up for the tournament, please choose the appropriate product below to your cart and checkout.

If you are wanting to sign up for the Championship Division, choose either the Male or Female Championship Division Registration. These tees are from a longer distance and the overall champion can only come from these divisions.

If you want to participate in the flighted divisions, then please add the appropriate gender Flighted Registration to your cart and checkout. These male and female divisions will be flighted after the second round based on scores and you will compete on Sunday with those players only in your flight of 16 participants.
